Spooktacular Fun!

We are just enjoying the Fall so much!  This weekend, we met Grandma and YeYe in Jacksonville and went to" Spooktacular" at the Jacksonville Zoo.  How much more fun can you get than getting to go Trick-or-Treating at the zoo AND getting to see Grandma, YeYe AND Gran Gran and PopPa!!  Since it was dark, we didn't get many good photos.

o

There were hundreds of Jack-o-Lanterns!

The Carousel was one of Lexi's favorite things!

Dancing at the Monster Mash!

I'd say the bouncy houses were her favorite by far!  She could of stayed there all night!

That's our Silly Gypsy Girl!  (or "gull if you hear her say it!)

It was "Spooktacular" Fun!

Announcing "That's Lj Style"

Lexi continues to amaze us every day.  As she continues to learn and grow I thought it would be fun to start letting her document some of her growth.  As an educator I am keenly aware of how important reading and writing are for students.  So I've created her her very own blog.  Our favorite Blog Make-Over Fairy will be jazzing it up soon but for now here it is...

Fall Fun!

I just LOVE this time of year!  The weather is nice and cool and the air feels crisp, plus there are so many fun things to do outdoors.  Today we went to Ottawa Farms Corn Maze and just had a great day!

They had John Deere tricycles!

Lexi's legs were so short, her feet kept slipping off!

They had pig races!  Have you ever seen such "clean" pigs?

The Corn Crib was awesome!  It was huge!  Lexi had a pocket full of corn when we left!

Lexi was not too thrilled when the hay ride took us to the Corn Maze.  She really didn't want to go.

But once there, she began running and I thought we'd lose her for sure!

Then we got worried that we'd all be lost!

Lexi loved the Cow Train!

So cute... I could just eat her up!

Duck Races with Dad!

"Driving" a big wooden truck...

The giant slide may have been her favorite thing of the entire place.

After we left we decided to go down to River Street for some ice cream because it was just so nice out, we didn't want to go home!

There was a HUGE pumpkin outside of the ice cream shop.  We had such a great family day, it was almost like having a mini-vacation!

It’s All Good Until…

This afternoon, Lexi and I enjoyed the cooler days and had a snack outside. She was singing, playing, and running and just enjoying our time together.

We’ve had our Fresh Beat Band tickets since MAY!  Lexi (and her Daddy) are so excited.  We had to carefully pick out an outfit that is perfect for a ROCK STAR!

And Another One…

Just sayin’, she’s INTO her Music! She entertained me like this for a few hours this morning!  It was great to have a Mommy/Daughter morning!  No school or work!  Yay!

After Pre-K naptime!

IMG_5982
Lexi is settling into PreK just fine but in the afternoons, she is pooped!  Lately she has been falling asleep on the way home and I just let her sleep a little while.  She picked out her outfit today and when we went to pick out a bow, all we had the really matched was the “Mommy and Daddy’s Girl” bows.  So when I asked her which one she wanted to wear she told me that she needed two ponytails so that she could wear both because she loves us both.  How sweet!

Any day now, Blinky is going to be history.  I think he’s seen his last days.  It’s time because Lexi likes to sleep with it in her mouth and he’s getting bit into little pieces.  Yuck!
