This afternoon I just wanted a nap. I was tired from a hard day at work. Friday’s are the hardest for me. I have sets of classes on Friday’s that are really challenging. It wears me out! But on the way home Richard and I stopped at Lowe’s to take a look at the new spring stuff they have. I bought Lexi the cutest little Elmo gardening kit and some petunias to plant. So when we got home, out we went! She loves digging in the black dirt … that is until she takes note of her dirty hands and then she wants me to clean them off. She planted her flowers with me and then she played in the dirt.
As the sun began to go down it got cooler and I asked Lexi if she wanted a jacket. She said “yes” and opened the door to the porch for me. She put it on and went back to work in her “garden”. Later I mentioned that it was getting cold and she said “jacket”. I asked her if she wanted me to go get myself a jacket and she said “yes” and once again opened the porch door for me. Later on as I remarked that is was getting even colder, she walked behind me looking to see if I had a hood that she could put over my head! How funny is that!! We played outside a little longer until I just made her go inside.
This is the face of a happy child finally released from the indoor world! Once inside she wanted a bath. I figured I’d let her play as long as she wanted and as she did I got out her bubbles. Oh my! Our girl is scared of bubbles! She does okay at first but then the more you blow, the more freaked out she gets. This is the 3rd time I’ve tried them with her and every time has ended with the same result… her climbing into my arms OUT of the tub that she so loves. So I think for now, the bubbles will have to go away.

Well, look at that cute little face! She is looking right at'cha! LOL!
Only because we were playing Peek-a-boo! Not because I asked her to smile and say "cheese"!
So cute. I love how simple everything is to her. It is cold...go get a jacket. Colder? Pull up your hat on your jacket. Precious.
Rhonda... we should all think so simply... it would certainly make life easier!
Love it! I am like Lexi...want to get out and dig. Well not really me personally but would love someone to come plant me some flowers. I don't like to get my hands dirty either. Love the yellow jacket picture.
