bear hunt??? Help us figure this one out! Last week we read Lexi’s copy of “We’re going on a Bear Hunt” once. I’ve had it for her for YEARS as I knew how much fun it is to read with beginning readers! She really didn’t seem to care much about the story but yesterday she pulled the book from her book shelf and asked me to read it to her. We read it 3 TIMES! Today on the way home we “recalled” the repetitive sentences in it. It’s so cute to hear her say “We’re goin on a bear hunt"!”. Then tonight when Geoff came home she demanded that he read it to her. I couldn’t resist taking pictures as it became funnier and funnier!
Lexi began reading to her daddy “going on a bear hunt” … and then as he joined in to read she made a change in the story….
suddenly the little baby in the story was stinky! She even held her nose! Why??? That’s just one of the mysteries of our Little Lexi! One that tickles us both to no end!!!
I surely hope she always has her sense of adventure, imagination, and humor as she does now…
It’s hard to miss and so glad we don’t…
